Pho at 9:30am (they open at 9:00am). That's what I'm talking about. In our area we have to wait until 11:00am. Up here in Clackamas, out on a mission, my breakfast Pho dream is coming to fruition. I often want Pho for breakfast as I'm an early riser but unless I have homemade on stand-by I'm just shit out of luck.
We've heard great things about Pho Vietnam, situated in a strip mall just past Foster Rd. Only a few tables were taken this morning (that changed pretty quickly), all with Vietmanese customers so we tucked right in and went basic. The #5 beef Pho and some spring rolls. Prices are a bit higher but as I'm eating my Pho I'm feeling at peace with the bill.
It's great Pho. More aromatic than many I have tasted. It hits your sence of smell just before taste and as you slurp the noodles you are rushed by anise. It was magical. The beef was beefy. The flank in particular tender beyond belief.
The spring rolls are different, they use a bean curd wrapper before frying. Delicious and not greasy with some light dipping sauce to cut through the rich chicken.
I'm positively delighted with Pho Vietnam and would definitely make the 20min trip to get my fix before 11:00. Service was friendly and the Pho was up and out in under 5 minutes.
I highly recommend these guys. -

I've had a lot of pho in my life and as takeout a few times. This was some of the worst food I've ever had. My brother-in-law and I showed up and ordered, no problem. We got the food and headed back to our Airbnb since they didn't deliver.
We poured the broth into the noodles, meat, and veggies, not realizing that this restaurant expected us to cook everything. Why would we order takeout, then?! The meat was completely raw, and the noodles were practically uncooked.
At first I thought it was fine, that it was just me, then my brother-in-law and I looked at each other and sighed as we accepted our fate... Spending 20 more minutes trying to make this pho edible so we could have a meal. Even after cooking, it was only ok.
Service was nice, and perhaps the food is fine inside the restaurant, but I'm never doing takeout from this place again. Sad because it has good reviews. Either give a disclaimer about cooking your own meal or don't offer takeout! -

Closest pho favor tasting since I moved from Southern California. Soup has good favor, assorted beef was tender, basil was bitter (did not like that), chili oil was good addition to soup.

Best pork chop ever! Super flavor, I don't know what they marinate but it's bomb. Most of the other restaurants pork chop is super dry, but with this place it moist. I always order it with an egg, because everything tastes better with an egg! Also sometimes they forget to give you the side of soup so you would have to just ask them. Another thing I would recommend is probably a bigger plate just because its just easier and less messier to eat. Service is average, family owned restaurant. Overall great place, price is very reasonable I would definitely recommend this dish if you ever go here!

It was choosing between Pho Dalat on 39th and Pho Vietnam whenever the mood hit us. The mood for pho happens often and even more so now that it's winter. I love eating pho when my husband or I have caught a cold, too. Pho Dalat sadly doesn't exist anymore so now it's just a shorter drive to a hot bowl of pho.
A large bowl ($8.75) of #5 and #12, please. If we skip an appetizer we can devour the entire thing. The flavors smell and taste powerful just like it should. There's always a lot of meat but maybe I just don't eat the noodles and meat equally. The side of bean sprouts, jalapeños, and a squeeze of lime is great but coloring the broth with hoisin and sriracha completes the flavors for me.
The service is pretty quick when it comes to ordering pho. Other items on the menu take more time. Refilling the water glasses is appreciated but being able to sit down and have a bowl of steaming hot, delicious pho placed in front of you within minutes of ordering is perfection.
